The first thing to do is make time to discuss your fleet’s upgrade. Our team of experts can help identify what 3G devices you have and what options you have available.
Step 2: Secure your devices
EROAD will put through an order for the units you’ll need, and when you’ll need them. The demand for 4G devices and components will increase as we get closer to the deadline. We’ve got stock ready to go in our warehouse, so it makes sense to make a plan now and secure your devices early.
Step 3: Book your installs
Once you know you’ve got devices on order, you’ll need to make your installation plan. By starting early you can make sure the upgrades don’t interfere with your fleet’s productivity.

How do you start the switching process?
Call the EROAD team on 1800 141 140, they’ll be happy to chat to you about how to start switching your device. It’s best to start the conversation early to help ensure a smooth transition.
What’s involved in replacing 3G devices?
3G devices can’t be upgraded with downloads or updates – they need to be physically replaced. EROAD will work with you to make sure installation has minimal impact on your fleet productivity.
What happens if you wait to make the switch?
Given thousands of businesses and consumers across Australia & New Zealand will need to migrate to 4G and 5G enabled devices from December 2023 – demands on 4G and 5G-enabled tech will increase.
